Sony Ericsson S500 Announced
May 8th 2007 17:45
I don't know about you, I've been using SE for almost a decade. And I'm yet to be disappointed, not least because of their design.
S500 was announced the other day, similar to the W580i only not walkman, finer design and some smaller alterations.
It's 14mm and, as the picture demonstrates, has the slide-design. Not something everyone appreciate, but I can tell you it's pretty comfortable once you get used to it. The screen is 2 inches, not bad but not groundbreaking either.
There are some details that brings it apart from the other similar phones, like the theme-manager. You can set it to automatically change themes and light effects. For instance so they change with the year's seasons, or as the day turns into night, etc.
It'll be released in the colors "Mysterious Green" and "Spring Yellow", a weird choice of default colors, but a good one. Of course it's aways recommended to look at the phone from close before - photoshop is evil sometimes.
