Huge Remote Control

May 14th 2007 12:03
Remote Control

Like I said, some things are usable and some are just ridiculous. Still, ridiculous can be fun and original, so keep 'em coming technology-freaks!

This is a Big Button Remote Control, that can be used for 6 devices. The buttons are almost an inch each and the whole control is a foot long. I would like to see you fight for it now, considering one hit on the head could make you unconscious for the rest of your life.

Or better yet, try to hide it under the pillows.

Available here.

e-Paper with Color by LG Philips

May 14th 2007 11:44
Screen paper

Some stuff might seem weird and ridiculous, but let me tell you, it's the stuff we'll be using on a daily basis 10 years from now.

LG and Philips cooperated and created the first electronic paper. It's in A4 size (14.1 inches), and shows 4096 colors. Maybe not much considering my cellphone has more than 250 000 colors, but you're not gonna watch movies on it. The e-paper can also be viewed from 180 degrees, which is pretty standard and good.

Probably something for newspapers or eBooks. Who knows? Maybe we'll load our daily news into one of these every morning soon. I like the idea and we wouldn't have to burn all forests we get access to.

Tetris on the Wall

Tetris on Wall

Most weird stuff aren't attractive in the "I would really enjoy this"-way. This time I would actually enjoy to have one of these wall mounted Picture Frame Tetris.

Not something too complicated, it's basically a Tetris with 240 LED buttons. If you click left or right, the brick goes left or right. If you click up it rotates. If you click down it drops. Play it four times a day and your arms will explode.

Unfortunately this thing is not for sale, more of a hobby project nine guys did. There's always a chance they'll built you one though, at least for $1500. Unless you create one yourself, but who has that kind of time nowadays anyway?

Got to return to my 10 feet high water-castle now... until laters.

See and read more.
